Stormrise is a post apocalyptic real-time strategy game from Creative Assembly, the makers of Medieval II: Total War. Two warring factions arise from the rubble: the Echelon, a technologically advanced race that endured the planet's fallout by way of self-induced hibernation, and the Sai, a tribal society that adapted to the new apocalyptic environment and evolved over time.

ECHELON: Safeguarding the Future

Our forefathers were the fortunate ones. They had the opportunity and the privilege to out the horrific years that followed "The Event". They were also given the chance to preserve some of our knowledge, learnings and equipment. Now we have a responsibility, a doctrine of duty to all the people of earth; Echelon and Sai alike. We will uphold and protect this re-built civilization. There is a very small region on the southern tip of the earth that can be considered habitable. Since re-emerging from our hibernation, we have shared this area with the Sai and endeavored to enrich their environment. The general populace has always appreciated our presence, but there is no doubt that a climate of dissent is mounting. However, the extremist cells have only agenda and interests at heart. These radicals need to be dealt with swiftly and decisively, before they threaten the safety of us all. are the defenders of the peace.

We must do whatever it takes to return this world former glory.

SAI: The Struggle of the Sai

The Sai have suffered in ways that can not be described. We did not hide from the storm; we did not have the option. We adapted learned to survive enduring on the unforgiving surface. Many perished. Each of my Sai brethren has earned their place on this planet and this is something no one can take away from us. Since their awakening, the Echelon has done much for us. With their guidance, we now have relative stability. Working together, we are creating a new civilization - hoping to build a culture that respects citizens of all levels. There are however, some within the Echelon who believe they are superior. But what is the definition of superiority? Their strengths lie in their machinery, hardware and technology. What we have is far more valuable. Our strength comes from within. It is an intrinsic power that is born of wisdom and has evolved generations of struggle.

We have shouldered the sins of mankind for centuries; we will not tolerate or prejudice any longer.
