The game's Miami Vice looks, hit soundtrack, well-told criminal story, and open-ended gameplay made Vice City a hit with gamers. The criminal theme and voice work by Ray Liotta, Burt Reynolds, Dennis Hopper, Tom Sizemore, and other Hollywood actors made Vice City a hit with an entertainment society already in love with The Sopranos and other crime dramas. The unflinching violence, adult themes, and heart-pounding crime simulations made Vice City a hit with the media and politicians. Love it or hate it, it can't be denied that Vice City represents the pinnacle of game design--as measured by both sales and fun factor.
